It’s that time again to review your strategy to move the needle on your lash or brow business. If you are a new artist, you may need to promote your business differently than someone who already has a client list. Let’s go over a few things you can do that have zero or little up front cost.
Tips for the “Newbie”
1. Plan Ahead
Get your business cards and flyers ready before you start your marketing. There are a few inexpensive places like Vista Print and your local Staples or Office Max. They even have online design templates to make it user friendly. You design and they print and ship everything to you. It’s super simple.
2. Start Local
This is your neighborhood, these are the people you want to target. Look for places in which your ideal client may work. Real estate offices, banks, and other professional offices are heavy with potential clients.
3. Old School Marketing
Take time to visit these places and drop off your business cards and a flyer. This may seem “old fashioned” but there is something to be said for face to face marketing.
Tips for Seasoned Lash and Brow Artists
1. New Clients
What are you doing to attract new clients? Are you offering an incentive for your existing clients? Try offering a discount or complimentary service for each referral. There will be a few clients who are very social and motivated by freebies and or a discount. They will send you new clients.
2. Win Back Old Customers
You should have contact information from clients you haven’t seen in a while. Try a text blast or an email campaign to reach out to clients that have not returned. Sometimes these clients just need a nudge to come back. Offer them an add on at a lesser fee or even complimentary. Brow shaping, a lip mask or hand treatment are easy and quick and the product cost is low. It is also a great way to introduce a new service to your clients!
